Chapter 99: Chapter 99

Somia ran out from her room with underwear and running to the kitchen: she quickly took a small towel on the table as she entered the kitchen. She folded the towel, and used it to bring a pot down on the gas and off the gas. She carried a very big warmer on the table and which was brown in colour, she opened the pot, carried it with the towel and poured all the rice inside the big warmer. She put the pot inside the zinc and covered the warmer; she carried another medium brown warmer on the table, and put soup inside it.

She cleaned the body of the two warmers, carried them in their handles and leaving the kitchen. She walked to the table in the living room as she came out from the kitchen, she put the two warmers inside a big basket on the table and arranged the other items that had been inside the basket before very well and covered the basket with a beautiful towel.

Somia quickly went back to her room to dress up; she was going to walk today so she came home yesterday night so that she could sleep and able to cook for those that were in the hospital and also she too could dressed for work.

Somia got down to the living room after thirty minutes, and she had dressed in a lovely office outfit and carrying a beautiful brown bag and with a point of white on it.

Somia put the bag on her right hand, carried the basket and going out. Sound of the door opened and closed, she locked the door with key, put the key inside the basket and going out. The uber that she order had been outside, she opened the back door and entered into the car. She put her bag and basket on the seat beside her and the driver started driving.

One hour later, because of the traffic jams. Somia arrived to the hospital, going inside when Semirat’s car drove inside. She parked beside a car and got down from the car with a basket as well and going inside the hospital. It was she had Somia that were going to work together and they have gave each other time.

“Good morning Ma! Well done!” Somia greeted the Nurse as she was just passing by.

“Good morning Ma! He will be well soon, well done!” The Nurse too greeted her back and prayed as well.

“Thank you very much Ma!” Somia said with low voice, and continued walking. She entered into the ward that Ibrahim was, met him siting down on the bed and with a pillow used to support his back and stretching the leg that the bullet hit him.

“Good morning Ma!” Ibrahim greeted Somia.

“Morning! How are you?”  “Where is Nibia and Mother?” Somia asked as she was arranging the desk and put the basket down on it.

“Nibia went to pharmacy but mom is inside the toilet!” Ibrahim was talking when the door opened and closed, and Semirat entered.

“Good morning Ma!” Ibrahim greeted her, as she was walking inside.

“It’s lovely morning, how are you doing?” Semirat asked with low voice, and looking at him.

“I am good Ma!” Sound of the toilet opened, and Somia’s mother came out.

“Good morning Ma!” Semirat and Somia greeted in chorused.

“Thank you! How was your night?” She asked with low voice, as she sat down on the chair beside the desk and two of them replied.

“We have to start going now because the traffic is terrible!” Semirat said, and referring to her and Somia.

“Alright! But wait, which of you prepared pap?” Somia’s mother asked.

“It’s me Ma! Check that basket, swallow is there as well and different soups. I prepared it in case of afternoon, and it can’t cool still the following morning” Semirat said.

“That is good, go safety my daughters!” Somia’s mother said with low voice.

“Yes Ma!” Two of them said, and left the room. Sound of the door closed.

Two of them got down to the compound, entered into Semirat’s car and Semirat started driving out from the hospital.

They arrived to MMO Company after one hour and thirty minutes as the result of the traffic jams. Two of them started going inside, they stopped at the front of the secretary and quickly signed the attendance book. And going to their various office.

Somia stopped at the front of their office, opened the door and entered. Ashar got up as he saw Somia entering, he didn’t know that she was resume back today.

“Good morning Sir!” Somia said with low voice, and put her handbag down on her desk.

“It’s too early why did you resume!” Ashar said, and standing at the front of Somia.

“I have to resume to my work, this is where I get paid and you know I don’t like to be using inference Sir!” Somia had put love at side, and she had turned everything to official things.

“I don’t force you to resume now!” Ashar said with low voice.

“You and Semirat should have stay and take care of Ibrahim very well!”

“Ibrahim is fine now Sir, thank you the care!” Somia smiled.

“What happened to him is not what can heal within a week, so other activities has to continue and things should go back to normal” Somia said.

“Alright then, but you can be closing early and resume anytime that is convenience for you okay!” Staring at Somia and looking sad somehow.

“Alright Sir! Thank you very much!” Somia had put love at side, and everything she was doing now was on official protocol.

Somia wanted to enter into her desk and sat down when Ashar grabbed her right hand and turned her back to him and hugged her tightly. Somia looked round the office as Ashar was hugging tightly and rest his head on her shoulder.

Somia released her body for Ashar, and put her two hands on Ashar’s back. Two of them were silent and just looking.

“Please! Please!! Don’t leave my side or go after the wedding!” Ashar broke the silent and said with low voice.

“I tried to cancel that wedding so that you and I can be together but it’s beyond my capacity. After the wedding I will surely do something, so please stay with me!” Saying one after the other.

“It’s alright! Everything is going to be fine!” Somia said with low voice.

“I love you! Please don’t leave my side, I want to be with you!” Ashar said, and with sad voice.

“Just put believe on everything that you want, and it will work out for you!” Somia said, and release herself from Ashar.

“If you believe that wedding can later be between us, have faith on it, cool your mind and its will work for you as you want!” Somia smiled as she finished talking and resumed to her seat. Ashar was just standing on the spot and looking at Somia with joy.

Iqmat’s car parked inside MMO Company and the driver switched off the car’s engine. She took her phone beside her and wanted to carry her handbag when her phone started ringing and it was her father that was calling.

“Hello Daddy!” She said with low voice.

“Are you on your way already or still at home, maybe I should send the driver down because I really need the document?” Her father said with loud voice, and he was at work.

“I am not at home, I stopped by at MMO Company first. I want to see my husband and after that I will be coming to your company!” Iqmat said.

“Be fast, I really need the document so be here on time!”

“Alright Daddy, just to say Hi to him! I will be with you shortly” She hanged up from the call, she carried her handbag and also with the document that her father called her for and got down from the car.

She closed the door, and going inside. Wearing a beautiful long gown and with a cap.

Sound of the door opened and closed. She entered Ashar’s office after few minutes, Ashar got up to greet her with smiled and pretending that he was happy to see her. Iqmat put the handbag and the document down on the table and sat down.

“I supposed to be going to father’s company, just decided to stop by and greet you first!” She said with low voice.

“Wow! That is so lovely, let me call the secretary to get something for you!” Ashar said, wanted to be calling the intercom.

“Not need! I am not staying long----“She was talking when a text message entered her phone. She unlocked her phone, and to read the message.

‘I am at Muritala Muhammad airport, come and pick me’ Iqmat lost her stability as she saw the message, and her mood changed.

‘Where did you say that you are?” She typed back with fear and shacking that Ashar and Somia noticed.

‘Muritala Muhammad Airport now, in Lagos Nigeria’ another text message entered.

‘I want to see you, and if you don’t want to see me or don’t love me again reply now and I will return back to California’ another text message entered.

‘I am coming right now’ she replied, and got up with confusion. Looking round and carrying her bag with fear.

“I have to go now!” She said with loud voice.

“Are you okay? Why are you doing like this?” Ashar asked with low voice.

“I am good!” She said and ran out, sound of the door closed loudly.

“Ashar! She is not fine!” Somia said with low voice, and looking at Ashar.

“I know, you know what let’s give her few minutes and I will call her!” Ashar said with low voice.

Ashar’s phone started ringing after few minutes, and it was Iqmat’s father. Ashar picked it.

“What is all these? Tell Iqmat that she should bring the document now, I need it now and I have been calling her but she is not picking it!” Her father said with anger.

“She is not here again, just left few minutes ago Sir!” Ashar said with low voice.

“Please! Help me to call her, if she pick tell her that I have send the driver----“Iqmat’s father was talking when Ashar saw the document on the table.

“Sir! She has forgot the document here!” Ashar said with low voice.

“Oh! You know what, help me to take it home and the driver will meet you there. He has been on his way already!”

“Alright Sir! I am going right now!” Ashar hanged up from the call and got up.

“Somia! Please come with me!” He took the document on the table and two of them left the office. Sound of the door closed.

Ashar’s car droved inside Iqmat’s house after few minutes, and just parked and he and Somia got down from the car. They saw Iqmat’s car inside mean that she was inside and she just arrived, Ashar was holding the document and going inside.

“I don’t even know what I am doing again, I don’t suppose to bring you to our house but you have turned my system upside down!” Iqmat said with loud voice, and talking to a handsome guy standing at the front of her and he was white in complexion.

“Why won’t I come to Nigeria, for the past six months you don’t pick my call or even text or call for once? I am tired!” The guy said. Ashar and Somia stopped walking as they got to the entrance and hearing their conversations.

“You know the reason why I am doing that now, I have to play along with their beat and tone. All these is for two of us!” Iqmat said with low voice.

“I am tired! I don’t know maybe you have fall in love with that guy, and your word has changed and that is why I am here to know if you have fall in love with him!” The guy said.

“Never! You know I love you, and i can never fall in love with another man. All that are just a play, I don’t love Ashar at all, I love you!” Iqmat said with low voice.

“That is why I am happy that the wedding is in two weeks now, a day after the wedding I will disappeared even Ashar won’t know and come back to California. I will spend my life with you not with Ashar never!”

“I am just worried! And I love you too!” The guy said, and smiled at Iqmat.

“You know what, you have to leave this place now and let me take you to the same hostel that I and Ashar will be for the honeymoon, so it will be easy for us to just leave on that day----“ Iqmat was talking when the door opened and Ashar entered.

Iqmat was shocked as she saw Ashar, and two of them were looking at him and when him too was looking at them.

“Know how to explain this to our parents!” Ashar dropped the document on the table, turned back and going out.

“Fine! Fine!! Nothing to hind anymore!” Iqmat said with loud voice, and the door closed.
