'Grandma'

I utter under my breath as I lifted the dress upwards. Seriously this is the 21st century and yet she gave me a dress that someone wore in the 18th century for bedtime. Throwing it back on the bed I peek outside my door to see anyone or anybody in this pack passing by.

How dare she give me this, Claire knows how to pay back gratitude. Shutting the door again I went and lay down on the bed.

Someone knock on my door, ignoring it I still lay on the bed unmoving. I heard the door creak open and then a footstep, "scissors" I demanded to whoever is in the room.

"For?"

okay, that wasn't a female's voice, sitting up straight I saw Lucian leaning towards the door. Picking up the dress I throw it to him which he inspects and that bastard laughs at it like it was the funniest thing in this world.

"Are you kidding me" he laughed again

"scissors Lucian" he stopped

"okay fine ill bring you something else"

I waited for almost an hour before I heard footsteps again he handed me a pair of jeans and sweater "thanks" I dismissed him immediately.

When it was time for dinner I began to worry, I mean I don't know how to make conversation with them, especially with total strangers. Eliz laugh in my head 'I bet you'll be this goofy weird alien' I shut her up before making my way downstairs and I took my time pretty well.

Everyone's head turns in my direction, my eyes landed on an empty seat beside Lucian so I went and sat beside him. Alpha Eric and Claire came in later and so our amazing dinner begins.

"Oh Elle I see you haven't met your mate"

She asked me innocently as her fork dug into her food.

"You stole him" Eliz retort back in my head while I just grin at Claire awkwardly. Eric coughs almost choking on his food. All eyes settled on me again.

"yes indeed I haven't"

"Oh poor thing," I cringe at those words, how dare she call me a thing. "I'm sorry if only I knew but I hope you can find him here"

'He's beside you idiot' Eliz rambling none stop. She wants to rip Claire and her wolf apart. "Oh well, I guess girls like you are unlucky to have one but hey there are other unmated wolves around" she gulps her wine then gave me a fake smile.

Right then Eliz is resurfacing, she doesn't like the fact Claire mocks us in front of her mate. She is a prideful one. Instantly my hand went to the fork, Eliz wants to fight me for control.

"SHUT IT"

She growls loudly making everyone around the table turn to me and went into a protective stance. My legs kick the chair back and I growl at them in return

"move and I'll kill you all, mock me luna and I won't hesitate" I threatened them.

Eric intently watches me, my eyes turning from silver to blue and my hands now gripping the edge of the table.

When I finally won over our control I quickly apologize to everyone around the table and went out of the house running into the woods.

"thinking of ways to escape" I turn to find Lucian leaning to a tree once I settled under another tree. I ignore him while closing my eyes.

"you know we would kill you tonight if it wasn't for the Alpha" he folded his arms "isn't that interesting" still I don't respond.

I was hoping he would leave me in peace but still, he just stood there watching me. Finding it annoying I stood up and went back to the pack tracing my way back. Before I could go back to sleep he held my arms back in a tight grip.

"A little warning don't you dare do that again or"

I cut him off before he finishes

"your warning means nothing. I am my person so don't beta it's not gentlemanly of you to do that"

I open my bedroom door

"besides if the Alpha knows this I wonder what he'll do since his beta is willing to defy his decision" and I slam the door in his face.
