ONE WEEK LATER

TIA POV

Today is finally Katie and Mike’s engagement party and we’re holding it in a grand style to make it memorable and loving for them.

Andrew’s mom is the mastermind behind the arrangement which is happening in their mansion and wants the engagement party to be perfect.

Everyone is really busy with the preparations, especially Andrew’s mom who has been checking out how things are going.

“Lift up those decorations a bit higher please. We have got to hurry up before the couple arrives here.” She instructed the decorators and headed straight to the kitchen without stopping.

I haven’t seen her working this hard with so much happiness on her face. I feel somehow bad. I couldn't help out since I don’t feel really good.

I had thought about going to the hospital for a checkup but I feel it isn’t necessary, which might turn out I'm pregnant since I haven’t seen my period throughout last month.

I wasn’t really sure but I did order for a home test pregnancy kit online which will be delivered anytime soon.

I was lost in my own world when I heard a maid calling out to me.

“Ma’am, the delivery man is here to give you a package.”

“Okay. I’ll answer it. Thank you.” I responded and headed to the door and picked up the package from the delivery man before heading straight to the bedroom.

I took out the kit and did the necessary instructions. After a while of waiting for the result to come out I'm positive.

I can’t believe I will be a mother very soon. It’s such great news on a special day like this.

Andrew will be so happy the moment I tell him we’re going to have a baby. I can’t wait to tell him the good news in person.

ANDREW POV

“Do you think this one will look good on me? I want to look perfect and handsome for my woman.”

“It will, Mikey. Can you put them on for God’s sake? I need to go see my wife who is probably waiting for me since we didn’t get to spend the night together.”

“I also need to look good for my woman so you got to chill and help me out with things.”

“You should be grateful I spent the night with you instead of my wife.”

“You’re probably paranoid you couldn’t lay your gentle man on the innocent woman.” He said with a grumpy smile.

“Finish up the necessary things yourself. I’m out of here.”

“Come on bro. I still need your help with some things.”

“Well, I got a beautiful woman waiting to be around me and all you could think of is making things really complicated for me.”

“It’s actually payback bro. Remember, how you taunt me for not laying my hands on my woman? I felt insane but I did control myself so it's payback man so chill out a bit and come help me out.” He grinned.

“Now I see what all this is about. I guess I really won after all.” I smirked which made him look confused.

“Let me clear things up for you dude. I wanted you to admit how you felt that day which you just did within a blink of an eye. I knew you felt really weak that day and was only trying to be brave in front of me.” I added, trying to cover up my urge to see Tia.

“I must say it was really a nice play. You’re indeed the boss but can we finish up with things here before we run out of time for the engagement party.”

“I’m the boss after all.” I smiled and helped him out with his tie.

I can’t wait to hold Tia in my hands. Just a day without her feels like a day without breath.

I miss her so much that I want to waste any more time to see her right beside me and hold her like my pillar.

TIA POV

“You look gorgeous, bestie. I’m so happy for you.” I complimented the moment I finished applying the makeup on her face.

“Thanks babe. You look really sexy today. Is it because of Mr handsome?”

“He’s my husband, not just any Mr handsome.”

“I know babe. He’s all yours and you’re all his so put your mind to rest.” She chuckled.

“That’s right. He’s only mine and I’m his alone. I’ve great news but I want you to guess what it might be.”

“Do we really have to do that?”

“Yes babe. Come on, I know you can do it.”

“Fine, I’ll try. Mr handsome got you something special and unique again.”

“Not that babe. It has something to do from my side.”

“Erhmm… you tried a new move with him.”

“Oh goodness Katie! It’s not any of that. You have to think deeper.”

“I give up. Just tell me what it is, girl. I’m not good at guessing.”

“I’m pregnant Katie.”

“Wow! That’s so amazing. Congratulations babe! I’m going to be a godmother very soon.”

“Thank you Katie. I’m so happy right now.”

“Have you told Mr handsome about it?”

“Not yet. I just found out this afternoon.”

“Are you really pregnant with my grandchild?” We heard Andrew mom ask behind us as we both turned to see her standing at the door.

“Mom, when did you get here?” I asked with shock.

“Why didn’t you tell me you’re pregnant? I noticed the looks on your face but I wasn’t quick to notice because of how focused I was busy making arrangements for the party.”

“I wanted to make the announcement after the engagement.”

“You could have just told me about it personally darling. I’m so happy I’m going to be a grandmother. Have you informed Andrew about it?”

“Not yet. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about it earlier.”

“You don’t have to be sorry angel. Let me be the one to break the news to everyone after the engagement.”

“Okay mom.”

“I’m really filled with joy right now. You both are such a blessing. I’m so glad you both found the best husbands to spend your lives with. Both my boys will treasure you both like you would never imagine.”

“Thanks mom.” Katie and I both said it at the same time.

“I’m so proud of you both. You look glamorous, darling.”

“Thanks aunt.”

“Are you both set for the party?”

“Yes, we are mom.” I uttered, helping Katie adjust her dress.

“Then let’s proceed to the party before the boys show up. The guests are already arriving.”

“Okay aunt.” Katie responded as we all proceeded downstairs for the party.
