Chapter 67: Chapter 67
NAOMI POV
I stepped inside the hideout which was once my grandfather’s house but was abandoned when he passed away and found Raymond taking his breakfast.
“Boss, you’re here already? You didn’t inform me you were going to turn up early.” He called out, getting on his feet.
“Do I need to tell you everything? Are the ladies still in the room?”
“Yes boss. I just got them breakfast like you had instructed.”
“Let's check on them then.” I spouted rudely as he left what he was doing and grabbed the keys to the room Sarah and Susan are kept hostage.
After a short walk we stopped at the door as Raymond opened up the door only for me to find them feeding one another.
“I can see you both have really made a bond in a short time.” I smiled, walking inside the room.
“I wonder why the food just turned bitter all of a sudden.” Sarah said, referring to me.
“What do you expect when the bad seed has arrived?” Susan answered as they both stared at me with angry faces.
“I won’t take that personally because I’m in a good mood today which I can’t wait to tell you both.”
“Save it for someone else. The moment Andrew finds out you’re behind my disappearance then you’re finished.”
“That sounds really interesting but not convincing enough. I guess it’s time to tell you the good news. Don’t worry it’s actually related to your son.”
“Bring it on.”
“Andrew is as naive as before. He can’t even make any smart move to find you so tell me how is he going to come looking for you?”
“What? Are you surprised he won’t find me? Sorry to burst your bubbles, you might have used him the first time to play your cards but this time, you will be marveled by his action.”
“That’s enough. I don’t have time for all those words. Let’s talk about something interesting. I’ve a business proposal to make which once you agree to, I might spare your life and set you free.”
“Who could possibly do business with you?” She chuckled.
“You are Sarah, if you really want me to set you free. All you have to do in order to gain your freedom back is to transfer everything that the WALTON owns into my name, that’s all. It’s as simple as you think. Once that’s being done, then you’re as free as a bird.”
“What will you possibly gain by doing all these? Tell me Naomi, what is it that you don’t have? Is it fame, more money or is someone making you do all of these?”
“I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I just need your signature on this document stating you’ve transferred all the WALTON wealth into my name. Is it too much?”
“I’m afraid I can’t do that for you, Naomi. You will have to kill me first.”
“I got no time for child’s play Sarah. You really don’t know what I am capable of doing when it comes to what I want. Let's see how long you will hold up to your words when you run out of taste and food.” She snarled and walked out of the room in rage.
She’s really hard to get and I don’t have much time left. I can’t possibly think of a bad way to force her into signing the document.
I think Jeremy is right. I really don’t have the mind to carry out real action other than using verbal expressions and little action.
ANDREW POV
After spending an hour, I head to the company to check things there before heading back home with the hope of getting a good result from the agent.
I got into my office and sat quietly on my chair waiting for Frank to get me the details of all the activities being carried out in my absence.
After a while of waiting, I heard a knock on the door and urged him to come in.
“Here is the document sir.” He said, dropping it on my desk.
“I heard the news about Mrs Walton's disappearance. Is there any progress in her search?” He added.
“Someone is working on that. The moment I find out it's all Naomi’s scheme then she should consider herself as good as dead.”
“I hope Mrs Walton is in safe condition. Who knows what Naomi is planning? How is Mr Walton?”
“He’s in a bad condition, Frank and it really hurts to see him that way.”
“I’m sure she will be found soon and Naomi will be dealt with by the authorities.”
“I hope so. Let's focus on the company's activities."
Okay sir." He responded and took a seat in front of me.
I pulled the document closer to me and was about to check it out when my phone chirped in my coat.
Without hesitating, I took it out from my coat and found the caller ID to be the agent.
"Hello sir. We need to meet again. Where should we meet?" He said the moment I picked up the call.
"Have you found any clue about her whereabouts?"
"Yes and there's more which can't be said over the phone."
"Alright. Where are you?"
"At our headquarters."
"I'll be there in a couple of minutes." I stated and dropped the call.
I wonder what information he got that's really serious.
MRS WALTON POV
“Were you able to hide the fork?”
“Yes. Here it is.”
“Is your hair pin with you?”
“Yes, I have it with me.”
“Good. I hope it will unlock the door. I haven’t tried it but I’ve seen a lot in the movies.”
“I hope so too. I really want to get out of here.”
“We will, honey. We just have to wait till evening before we can carry out the escape plan.”
“Okay aunt but you still haven’t told me how Naomi came into your life.”
“That’s right. I guess it’s time to tell you everything starting from her father Philips.”
“Who exactly is he and why is he bearing your husband’s name?”
“Philips is my husband’s step brother.”
“Step brother?”
“Yes Susan. That’s not all. Philip's wife was my sister.”
“Unbelievable.”
“Yeah, it is. But Philips killed her because she exposed his evil plans of stealing my husband’s rightful wealth for himself.” I revealed with tears in my eyes.
Sean was my little sister who I loved so much and would do anything to see her happy but Philips had to separate her from me by killing her in cold blood.
“That’s really sad. I’m sorry about her.”
“It’s fine darling.”
“Who is Naomi to you then?”
“She’s my niece if I’m not mistaken."
“This is really a coincidence. What are you going to do with Naomi?”
“She was misled by Philips into believing we are the enemies just to use her to get the wealth for himself."
“What are you going to do now, aunt? How are you going to tell her Philips was the one who killed her mother?"
“I don’t know, child. I’m so confused right now. Will she even believe anything I say to her?”
“I believe there will be a way out of this. I just know it, aunt."
