ONE WEEK LATER

ANDREW POV

In the last few days, Tia and I have been getting along with each other unlike before. We talk to each other occasionally and try to get to know each other. I’m also trying as much as possible to get to know her better.

Ever since I taught Mike a lesson at that party, he hasn't shown himself or even tried to make contact with her which I do hope will remain that way.

I know I didn’t do the right thing by hitting him that way but it was the only way to make him understand to stay away from my wife and speaking of her, I just can’t help but feel great whenever she’s around me.

Sooner or later we’re going to get along so well and that’s when I will profuse my feelings towards her in a nice way. I hope she forgives me for everything I did to her in the past and accepts the new me as her husband and not just based on the fact we got married because of my dad’s health.

I do need to tell dad everything before he finds out and becomes disappointed in mom and I. I did it out of love for him and no other reason but it turned out as a real blessing for me and it all thanks to my mom.

She did the right thing by bringing Tia into my life which I can’t thank her enough for picking out the rarest of all women.

I really can’t believe I will find myself falling in love with any woman. Tia actually did the impossible by showing me what it really feels to find an inner peace of what it feels when you’re in love.

She’s the real definition of what it feels like to have a second chance to trust a woman again after Naomi used me just because I showed her nothing but pure love as a brother instead she used it to fool me.

I just hope Tia won’t also do the same once I give her the chance in my life.

TIA POV

I can't hide the way I feel towards Andrew any longer. I have totally fallen in love with him which I don't know how it happened but it's happened anyway.

It's really a good feeling which I can’t believe would ever occur to me after my ex left me heartbroken.

I don’t know but Andrew seems so different and kind even though he doesn’t show he cares about me but what he does around me says it all.

I just wish I could open up my heart for him to see how much I care and adore him. Maybe he will know I’m just not like other women.

It's been a week since Mike had called or showed up after that incident at the party. Each time I call him, he doesn’t pick up or even respond to my texts. I even went as far as asking Katie about him, to which she said she hasn’t been in contact with him as well after that day.

I guess he took Andrew’s words seriously by staying away from me. I really don’t see such a big deal as to why Andrew is acting protective of me all of sudden. Does he like me or something because that’s the only way a man can get over protective of a woman by going as far as making sure she doesn't associate with any man aside him.

I just want Andrew to understand, Mike and I are just friends and nothing else can happen aside from that but I like the fact he’s protecting me but using that method towards his cousin isn’t really that cool and I have to talk it out with him so he can understand.

“Ma’am, are you alright?” I heard Ella call out to me.

“Oh, I’m sorry about that. Where were we again?” I inquired, trying to forget about Andrew for a second.

He has been on my mind in the last few days that I don’t seem to focus on things in the office anymore.

“We were discussing the meeting you're going to have with the Walton group of enterprise.”

“Oh, that’s right. When is the meeting taking place again?”

“It’s taking place on Friday, which means two days from now.”

“Okay, I’ll work on the project to present.”

“Alright ma’am. I’ll head back to my office.”

“Okay. Also, don’t forget to work on the files I assigned earlier to you.”

“I won’t forget ma’am.” She beamed me a smile and strolled away while I continued with the new project I’m going to present to Andrew at his company.

I really hope I won’t mess things up when I get to the meeting since Andrew will be there watching me the whole time. I just have to give my very best to let him know how diligently I took the collaboration of his company with my dad’s company really seriously.

I got home a bit late and exhausted and found Andrew in the living room working on his laptop.

I’m really surprised to see him already back from the office. I thought he said he has a business meeting to attend to and will be a bit late.

“Good evening.” I greeted him and walked over to take a seat on the sofa close to him.

“Good evening. You look tired, is everything okay?” He asked, giving me a brief look before focusing his attention back on his laptop.

“Yeah everything is all good. Just office work, you know? I thought you said you’re gonna be late today?”

“I cancelled the meeting.”

“Oh, okay. Let me go take a shower and join you.”

“No problem.” He replied, still focused on his laptop as I got on my feet and was on my way to the stairs when the doorbell rang.

I turned around and found him staring at me with a questioning look.

“Are you expecting someone?” He asked.

“Not of which I know.”

“Who could it be at this hour of the night?”

“I don’t know but let me have a look at who it is.” I stated and dropped my bag before strolling towards the door.

I gasped in shock when I opened the door and found Mike staring at me with a warm smile on his face with a suitcase in his hand.

“Hello Tia.” He smiled broadly to me as I was just speechless.

“Who’s there Tia?” I heard Andrew ask.

I just couldn’t bring myself to give him an answer and in such a short while I felt his presence behind me.

“What the hell are you doing here?” He asked, in a high tone.

“What does it look like to you, buddy? I’m here to stay with you guys for a short while.” He chuckled as my eyes widened in shock.
