Chapter 29: Chapter 29

TIA POV

“What’s wrong dear? Ain’t you ready to give me a grandchild?” He asked, with sadness in his eyes.

“Of course, not. Andrew and I are not just going to give you a grandchild but grandchildren.” I lied, swallowing my saliva on the last word.

What am I really saying? Am I really doing the right thing by giving him the hope that isn’t going to happen? I’m just so confused, seriously.

“I’m so happy with this great news you gave to me. By the way, why didn’t he come with you?”

“That’s because I insisted on coming alone. He had to take care of an important issue at the company.” I lied.

“Then I guess I will have to stop him from over working so he can get to spend good moments with you.”

“You don’t have to do that, dad. He always spends his free time with me so I don't want to be the cause of his business matters.”

“Alright dear but it's because you insisted.” He accepted and caressed my cheek.

“You look so beautiful today, darling. What’s the secret?” Ma’am Sarah inquired, grinning at me.

“There’s no secret, mom. I just decided to dress a bit differently today.”

“That’s nice. Just keep looking this way. You look extremely beautiful.” She complimented.

“Thanks mom.” I responded with a warm smile.

“So, tell me how the honeymoon was?” She whispered to my ear.

“It went well, mom.” I answered.

“I know you’re only saying that, darling. The honeymoon didn’t go well, right?” She whispered in my ear.

“Sort of.” I confessed as she stared at me in shock.

“Honey, I want to have a word with Tia outside for a minute. I hope you don’t mind.”

“I don’t mind. I know it's women's stuff so you both can go say it outside.” He smiled as she pulled my hands as we stepped outside.

“Good evening ma’am.” Finn greeted her.

“Good evening.” She responded and urged me to the general restroom.

The moment we got inside the restroom, she shut the door behind us and made sure no one was in the restroom.

“What are you really saying, darling?”

“What really went wrong during the honeymoon? I want you to tell me the truth and nothing but the truth.”

“Actually, Andrew and I never saw each other after we left the hospital on the wedding day.”

“What? Are you saying you both never went on honeymoon?” She gasped in shock.

“Yes mom. I’m really sorry I didn’t get to call and inform you about it.”

“Oh, my darling. It’s my entire fault for forcing you into this marriage. I was too blind to see you’ll get hurt in the way. Will you ever forgive me for having to let you go through this entire burden?” She uttered with eyes filled with tears.

“It‘s not your fault, mom. You never forced me in anyway. I chose to do it so please, stop blaming yourself.”

“You won’t really understand, Tia. I was the reason behind his cold hearted ways. If only I had listened to his pleadings of not accepting Naomi into our family, everything would have all been going perfectly.” She said as the tears streamed down her cheeks.

“No matter what you did, you don’t have to blame yourself. Sometimes, things we don’t expect happen to us but what really matters is how we are able to get up and reframe the situation.” I assured, wiping her tears.

“Oh, honey. I really don’t know what to do in other to bring my son back to his usual way. I just feel really guilty knowing I am the cause.”

“Like I said, you’re not to blame. I will bring back your son to the way he was, that’s a vow.”

“How honey?”

“I believe a miracle will happen which will lead him directly back to me.”

“When will that miracle happen, Tia?”

“I don’t know but I believe something will lead him back. You don’t have to cry or blame yourself for the things that were bound to happen.”

“You really have a heart of gold which is why I got attracted to you. I will do everything to see that your sacrifice doesn’t go in vain. You’ll experience the love you have never seen before.” She held my hands, passionately.

“How?”

“You need to think about it. Come here, darling.” She smiled and pulled me into a hug.

I really don’t understand what he meant but I hope it turns out to be true. I have always yearned to be loved and respected by my future husband but things didn’t turn out like I expected it to be.

Not all things work in our favor, that's why we are humans.

ANDREW POV

“What are your plans, sir?” Frank asked as I handled the last file I signed for the development of a new product.

“I don’t know yet but when I arrive there. I will be able to know my plans.”

“Okay sir but what do I tell your dad or mom or even your wife when they ask for your whereabouts?”

“Tell them I didn’t share the information with you.”

“Noted sir.”

“And remember don’t contact me concerning any issue if it isn't serious.” I instructed.

“Okay sir.”

“Good. You can make the necessary preparations for me to leave.”

“Alright sir.” He replied and walked out of the office.

I just came up with a plan to leave for the United Arab Emirates to completely stay away from Tia and her spells since my cousin has already been bewitched.

I can't really say when I will be back but I hope my dad will have fully recovered to receive the news of my marriage with Tia.

I know he will be totally pissed off but with time he will get to accept it and will approve of my divorce with the gold digger of a wife my mom got me married with.

I just need to go back to how my life used to be simple with no worries of any woman in my head.
