I had not slept the whole night, just hugging Sahil and weeping. I am very strong but only I know how scared I am of my loneliness. My first wife had a clot in her brain. She was dying in front of my eyes and still, I could not do anything for her and now that I have fallen in love again, then I have to kill my love, Ahana. Darkness had fallen, It was 4 in the morning, I got away from Sahil and went to the washroom without saying anything to him. I washed my face and saw myself in the mirror. My eyes had turned red because of continuous crying. I calmed myself and went outside. I looked at Sahil who was standing holding my uniform. I took the uniform out of his hand and went back to the washroom to change it. As soon as I came out, Sahil held my hand and made me stand in front of the mirror.
"See yourself, you are an army officer. You cannot be weak and remember what you always say" he said, looking at me.
"When it comes to the country, we are neither there nor anyone else, Then there is only one son and one mother and the son is ready to sacrifice his life for the honour of that mother." I said and smiled looking at him. I turned to him and hugged him again.
"Thank you so much for understanding and motivating me. thank you to remind me why I came here"
"That's all right. I am a good person who helps everyone.. I am great. Sometimes I think God made me help everyone" he said. I turned away and looked at him angrily, he always utter nonsense but then we both laughed together..
"ready for the war?" I asked.
"Always ready," he said.
We both went towards the forest. Seeing both of us, everyone stood together and saluted. I stood in front of them.
"I'm leading this mission. We will all go separately and attack everyone, except children. Every person present here needs to die because everyone has a very large involvement in these terrorist activities. They all are terrorists who are planning against our country and if these people don't die, then their backers will blackmail us by making a rubbish plan to save them, it is better to kill them all. We will shoot everyone and I am telling again we won't kill children because they can be guided. I know that if they get the right guidance, then they can be one of us." I said.
"Yes Sir"
I was telling everyone how to attack, after planning everything we are ready to finish our mission that's when Sahil said
"Remember, we would not hurt Ahana. we have to catch her alive"
I looked at Sahil.
"The General orders that Ahana should not be hurt or harmed, she should be caught alive," he said. I just nodded yes.
"Lock Ahana in your room, and we'll arrest her as soon as we finish killing everyone," he said. I didn't respond to his words and ordered everyone to take positions and went towards Ahana's room. I want to see her one last time.
I was going towards her room when she came from the front, maybe she was coming to meet me. Seeing me in uniform, her smile had disappeared.
She was looking at me shockingly. I was reminding myself again and again 'Ahana is a terrorist. She is against my country. I can't love her… I have to hate her.' I went to her.
"Shocked? You should be looking at your enemy in front. Now your game is over. Now our game will start" I said with a smirk on my face. She looked around herself to see if anyone was there.
"You're an army officer? Why didn't you tell me? Ohh God" she put her hand on her head in frustration. She looks so cute and hot even in frustration.
"hold on.. What are you doing here and why are you in uniform? Don't tell me, you were on a mission here." she stammered, almost crying. I came to my senses and controlled myself. she was just looking at me and maybe she observes my red eyes too and then she grabbed my hand and started taking me toward my room, but I released my hand from her.
"Sid, I don't know what's going on, we will talk about this later. But please come with me to the room right now. If someone sees you in a uniform, then all the villagers will kill you .. Please come with me" she said. Her eyes were clearly showing love and concern for me. I glanced at the man standing behind her who was listening to the songs with an earphone. I am sure he didn't see me. Before Ahana could say anything else, I took out my gun and pointed in his direction but seeing this, a tear rolled down from her eyes. Maybe she thought I pointed the gun at her.
"Sid" she called my name and then wiped her tears and was just looking at me.
"All was drama. You pretended to love me so that you could come here. Right? You want to come to this village so you used me. How could you do this to me? If you had to come here, you would have found some other way. Why did you use me? Why?" she screamed at the peak of her voice. She was continuously crying.
"I must say you're an intelligent girl. Everything you said is true. We all tried hard to get inside the village but failed every time. In the end this was the only way left, that's why I pretended to love you. I accept I used you and I know, I did wrong with you but you deserved this." I said in a firm voice before she could say anything. I fired, the bullet passed through her side and hit that person standing behind her. hearing the shout of a man she turned back and saw that person who had fallen on the ground. she looked back at Sid and took her step backwards. Seeing her like this, only I know how broken I felt at that time. I never want Ahana to see me killing people like this or ever be afraid of me. I held her hand and led her towards my room. she was trying hard to get her hand out of my grip, but the more she tried, the more tightly I would hold her hand.
"Aah ..Sid leave my hand" she said trying to get her hands off, then my eyes went on Sahil, who was standing outside my room, I released her hand.
"Are you also an army officer? wow... It means you all are together. great.. I was crazy to trust this moron" she said, looking at my side. I pushed her inside the room.
"Until everyone dies, she will remain in this room, then we will take her life. I want to see her reaction, When she sees her mission fail." I said to Sahil. she was just looking at him with hatred in my eyes.
"I hate you.. Did you hear? I hate you" she yelled at the peak of her voice. I left her in the room and locked the door. I closed my eyes and a tear escaped from my eyes but I quickly wiped my tears.
"Let's finish our mission" I said and went outside and then the war started. My gaze went to a baba who was about to shoot Sahil, but before he could do anything I shot at him. My gaze went to Ahana who was standing near the window and had tears in her eyes. She herself got away from the window.
Soon we killed everyone. Some of our officers were also martyred, seeing that my hatred for these terrorists and respect for my country and soldiers increased.
"Go fetch Ahana, let her know that her mission is ruined" Sahil said. I just nodded in yes and went towards my room.
When I opened the door she looked at me. I went towards her and held her hair tightly.
"Aah" she hissed. a tear rolled down from her. I made her stand by holding my hair but then I left her hair after seeing her tears.
"Now your game is over" I said and then held her hand and took her outside.
"Why did you leave my hair looking at me in pain and why did your eyes become damp?" she asked looking at me.
"I know how to respect women and I promised someone that I would never raise my hand on a woman. Thank God that you are a woman" I said.
I took her in front of everyone and made her sit in the middle of all the army officers and then stood in front of her pointing my gun at her. she started laughing suddenly
Everything has changed a couple of times. The person with whom I wanted to spend my whole life, Now i want to leave her forever, Now I am leaving her forever and breaking every relationship with her... I am speechless, I don't know what to say, she was staring at me with teary eyes asking me why I did this to her.. To which I replied.. "I HATE YOU" .
As soon as she could respond a bullet struck her. she fell on the ground whispering her last words "I LOVE YOU SID."
I could not understand what happened suddenly. I looked at my gun and then Ahana. She was shot in the chest. She had fallen down and blood was pouring out of her injury. Seeing him like this, I couldn't understand what to do and How to respond. I came to my senses when Sahil put his hand on my shoulder.
"Why did you shoot Ahana .. I told you we want her alive" he said.
"I didn't.. I can not hurt her even after wishing. I love her and moreover If I had shot at her, the bullet would have hit her head, not her chest." I said and looked at Ahana who had become unconscious. I quickly ran towards her and took her head in my lap and tapped on her cheeks.
"Ahana" I was just being given voice to her but she was not responding to anything about me. Everything was ruined, that too in just a few moments .. Everything ..
