Chapter 60: Chapter 60
He fell sound asleep on the seat next to mine.
That was how simple he was when drunk. I brushed my fingers to his hair, watching him sleep like an infant and face all red. Even tickling his hair doesn't bother him to wake up. My tipsiness subsided after I cast a spell upon myself and felt more wicked than ever. Now is my chance to take advantage of Hessuel for my own entertainment! In the meantime, I left him and Acro on the table and Matheo led me the way to our free room on the 2nd floor of their inn.
It was a horrible room at first sight for a flashy lady like me. And Matheo wasn't quite generous in providing a room for a single bed. I drew a circle in the air with a finger for an enchast and our packed things dropped on the floor. I thought we would have to stay here for several days to discuss our next plan.
And I also thought that Hessuel was such a docile and behaving werewolf when drunk until I found him at the root of the fray on the 1st floor. Worst of all, he picked the bigger men although I really have nothing to worry about. Acro was just watching!
"Where is she? Where did you take her!?" said by the furious silver wolf.
I knew in an instant that he was looking for me. It was only a leap of minutes when I left him for such a disaster! He snitched the contender's belt, knotted the man's legs, and swayed the man to another table. Pathetically, some patrons were enjoying the fight. Matheo was busy shining a glass of wine at the counter table. I could still recall the pesky smile on his face. I confronted him but he said that it was normal for their daily bartending!
And that stupid rational reason convinced him not to rectify the commotion! For a split second, I thought I saw Shun in Hessuel who was wrestling with a tall man. He's strong. Playful 'tho he was serious at that moment. And for the following seconds, my heart shouted something. I could not unlove this man anymore. But that would be unfair because it wasn't for his sake. For the sake of my longing for Shun.
A tall man strangled Hessuel from behind. He bit the man's arm and dragged the man in front of him, awfully bolted on the floor. And then another man lifted Hessuel through his waist, dropped him on a table, and twisted his arm from behind. Hessuel was resistant, kicked the man backward, punched the man upward to his chin with some sort of heroic poise, and kicked the man's balls. When that man fell to his knees, Hessuel slapped him on both sides of his cheeks 4 times.
"I said, where did you take her!? Why is she gone!?"
How could he insist that those fishy men would take me? I'm not a little princess these braided-mustache men could kidnap! He was about to fight back against the men but I enchanted the table to block him, it made him crouched on the top.
The time that I thought I've seen enough with the audience was the time that I made my majestic intervention. "Men, please, let's end this show. I sincerely apologize for his naughtiness," I courteously said. I wished to get out and regret that I stood between them due to their deadly stink but their boss approached me.
"You are a mage," the captain guessed. "Your man harmed my men. How about," he stretched his arms that had enchast on each, "we present a magical battle to our audiences?" he proposed. His men rejoiced in excitement. I figured this is how pirates waste their time. The captain was reaching for my hair when I was startled because of Hessuel; he locked me in his arms from behind and pulled me away from that pirate.
"Don't touch my woman," he growled. Him, being protective, made me flustered! I suddenly felt weak in his arms.
We got out of the situation with the help of Matheo. We were taking Hessuel to our room when he cuddled with me.
"Dan! Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"I was not in danger. I am the danger."
And he fell sound asleep again on his feet! I had a hard time taking him to his room and I instantly became haggard afterward! I just dropped him on the bed and let the walking Acro in before I closed the door. The cold breeze came in too and shivered me for a second. I only turned my back for a few seconds when I found Hessuel crawling in the window!
"Hey—!"
"Aw—!" He bumped his head on the sill after I yanked his leg back to his bed. Stammering, I hurried to blow his forehead like a candle to reduce the pain—the way kids do it!
"I'm sorry." I leaned my arms on the bed. "Just what do you think you're doing!?"
“I thought you’re missing again—” He pulled me down to him and he kissed my nose very passionately! I leaned on my elbows and said,
"You missed." And then I kissed his lips very passionately. Our tongue blended in between our kisses. He's ignorantly good with this. My wicked intention came out earlier than I expected, it only ended when my conscience halted me. He escorted me with patience and respect when I played drunk, which means that I should be in favor of doing the same! "Alright!" I jolted up. "That’s enough!"
"Just a kiss."
"Wha— No," I insisted. He was playing clingy again with my arms as I moved away from above him to sit beside the bed! "Hessuel, we can't do that forever. I am a Moon Priestess, a candidate to become the Moon's Goddess's proxy here on earth and I have to endow my body with purity to be worthy of that calling, like a nun." I fooled around.
He jolted on me. "You want to become a nun!?"
"Well," I shrugged, "those two are almost the same. I shall offer this body to the Moon Goddess and none else." I gestured with my hands. "I shall make every inch of me pure and abandon any secular thoughts including investing interest toward men. That is why I chose to be aromantic. So stop flirting with me and sleep."
"Oh..."
Guilt struck me like lightning when his face slumped. Guilty... Guilty of feeling sympathetic by making him hopeless! Guilty of the pride of my love! "Hessuel, aren't you going to s-stop m—"
"I will always support you in anything you want." He removed his coat and unbuttoned his shirt. "That's why from here on out, I will help you purify your thoughts from any secular businesses."
"That is so generous of you. W-What are you do... ing?"
He stripped his shirt upward in front of me! I could still recall how my breathing stopped functioning for a moment! The spotted marks on his body were gone. He attacked my integrity by showing me his smooth, tough, and fluffy body. My mouth was covered with both of my hands, he lifted me on my waist, laid me on the bed, and trapped me within his arms and legs! He was purposely luring me with those crystalline eyes.
"I'm willing to help you practice denying the temptation of men," he said, making it sound severely sexy. "Do it to me."
I squirmed my hands, winced my eyes, and he sniffed my neck. The trivia is correct: everyone is extra lustful when drunk! No one will know that someone has a talent for seduction until they get drunk! The nature of my half wolf slumbering within me was begging for pleasure. Who says I'm going to be a nun? a moon's proxy? I just found the tip of my fingers traveling on his naked back. However, he fell sound asleep.
I love how his heat cuddled me. I love how he leaned his weight on me. But he did none else other than those. Disappointed, I pushed him aside. Him, lying downward, seemed hot and refreshing to me. I released a cream from my luggage and used an enchantment that would give him muscle pain, the punishment for leaving me hanging in pleasure again. I massaged his back, shoulder, and biceps.
The sensation of his skin was at my fingertips again. I found it extremely weakening for me. I sniffed his back with a wry smile on my lips and lay down like a comfy cat. The cream was tossed when I jerked in surprise because of Acro's creepy wide eyes! She was watching our privacy on top of the cabinet!
I couldn't have more kisses. That's what I ever wanted, that kind of affection from my mate, from Hessuel. That desire was given again to me on top of the pishnies treehouse. I loved how he subdued me by pinning my hands and kissing me dearly. I wanted to respond confidently with his warm lips. I wanted to keep it longer. But fear manipulated my arms to push him away. I saw that he was going to die. The same pain would crash me if that happened because my love, my happiness, and my hope shall die along with him.
This is my trauma.
I realized I kept pushing him away with my lies. I made him believe that I'm a pure human and my excuse actually turned wrong. I couldn't unlove him and I couldn't make him stop loving me. I guess I am meant to walk the path of tragedy. I felt that when I found Hessuel half-dead on the shoulder of Elibur's Omega.
Standing in front of his pack, I used my spellbook to summon a strong hail storm and bolts of lightning. "Let him go."
"No. You are a fraud moon priestess. I shall take him to the Alpha."
"I SAID, LET HIM GO!!"
Trees turned into terrifying monsters, sharp wind turned into fire whirl, and the earth shook, everything aligned with my wrath.
"Aren't you unleashing too much magic for this silver wolf? What is he to you? Have you abandoned us?"
I dropped my hands. All my raging enchantment disappeared. Tears shed like rain. "Elibur... he's my mate."
"..." The blatant change in his reaction gave me hope. "You... and him?"
"He's important to me. And Elibur, you are important to me too. We're going to the Moon's Order pack. I will allow you to follow us, to see Lanasia, just let Hessuel go, now," I pleaded.
That was when I jumped into risky gambling.
"Deal."
They laid Hessuel in my arms and they departed. An inevitable shaking of my hands touched Hessuel's face. That hour, I felt like dying in despair. I couldn't heal him because of Elibur's curse. He wasn't regenerating either. His pale and weak body, and blood, tightened my breathing. Matheo arrived in his wolf and shifted to his intelligence.
"W-What should we do? He's not waking up! What might happen—!?"
"Dandeline, calm down."
Matheo's assistant relieved me at my most devastating time. A ray of hope shined unto me when Hessuel opened his eyes and struggled to speak, yet none was heard. Matheo carried us in his wolf. Every time Hessuel was twitching in pain, I held his hand tighter. It was not the real death yet according to the revelation. But what happened erased every happiness from me.
