Daniel

I laughed and stared at his face. I laughed again and sat on the couch

Me: bring you the girl? Bring you Unugwa? Dad, Unugwa and I are no longer in good terms. We don't talk anymore and it's killing me. And you're saying I should walk into her house and say "Unugwa, follow me out let's go on a stroll". Then she would follow me sheepishly and I'll hand her over to you right?

I stood up

Me: look dad, count me out of whatever you're planning to do.

I turned back and walked towards the door.

Dad: I know you've been going to see your mother. And I know how close you two are now. If you don't bring me the girl, I'll rid you of your mother forever

I turned and faced him

Me: what do you mean by that?

Dad: you know. And you also know what I'm capable of

He dragged his cigar and a cloud of smoke gushed out of his mouth and nose

Unugwa

Me: Andy is awake now. I need to go and see him

Anibe : Unugwa calm down. Just call Loretta and talk to him

Me: and is that right? I really wanna see him and touch him. I wanna feel his skin against mine

Anibe : hey little sis is going haywire

He dragged me down to the sofa

Anibe : even I can't go to my house because it's not safe.

Me: I love Andy

Anibe : idiot! I know

He smacked my head and I stood up and paced around his room

Me: you have to help me?

Anibe : and how?

I bit my lip

Me: follow me to the hospital

Anibe : the guards won't let us okay

Dad had ordered more guards to save guard the house just in case something else happens

Me: then the guards can follow us out. They'll be there

Anibe : what's your problem?

I jacked him up

Me: please, please. I have to see Andy.

Anibe : how are you sure he's awake?

Me: Loretta texted me

Anibe : Unugwa what you're asking to do is very dangerous

I know. It's too dangerous. But Daniel's dad must be a psychopath. He's insane

I sat on the sofa opposite his bed

Anibe : what if I call Rogue to accompany us?

I jumped up

Me: yes yes. Please

Anibe : okay, but how are we going to convince mom?

Me: we'll take some of the guards. But I don't trust them but I trust Rogue. Not fully though

Me: do you still have that gun?

Anibe : yeah. I need bullets though

He stood up from his bed and walked to his closet

Anibe : all my favorite cloths are in my house. The ones here have no swagger

Me: we are going to see my boyfriend not your chick

He chuckled and brought out his phone. He called Rogue and told him to accompany us to a hospital.

Anibe : Unugwa, excuse me. I'm going to shower and I'll dress up so bye

I rolled my eyes

Me: like you have something to hide

He screamed

Anibe : get out

I chuckled and left the room

We later told mom that we needed to visit the hospital but she refused

We had to persuade her and tell her that the guards would follow us. Then she gave us just thirty minutes to go and come back

Well we went to the hospital in the company of Rogue and the guards. They all waited outside while I and Anibe went inside to meet Loretta and Andy. I felt extreme joy when I saw Andy seated up and talking with his mom. Immediately he saw me, he stopped talking and we just locked eyes.

Anibe pinched my back and I smiled and walked to him

Andy: hey

Me: hey

He opened his palm and I placed my hand in it, he squeezed my fingers and I chuckled

Me: how are you?

Andy: my head hurts and I can't feel my leg

I touched his face and smiled

Me: don't worry you'll get better

He lifted my hand and kissed it

Anibe : good evening Mrs Del Solo

Andy's mom : good evening dear. How are you?

Anibe : I'm fine

Claire: HI Anibe

Wow, I didn't know she was here

Anibe : whoah. The beauty queen. What's up dear

She blushed

Claire: I'm fine

Anibe : and Loretta. Mi lady. I hope you're fine

Loretta: well I'm fine now

Anibe: you should be, your cousin is awake

Andy: I suppose you want me to be the last person you'd speak with

Anibe : yeah, man to man. Dude what did you dream about? You slept so long

We laughed and Andy looked at me as he talked

Andy: should I tell you what I dreamt about?

He caressed my hand

Anibe : I'm having the feeling that you two need some privacy but for the sake of Andy's mom, behave like grandpa and grandma please

We laughed again

Andy's mom : you really remind me of someone who I met when I was younger

Anibe : I do?

Andy's mom : yes. You have his smile and his sense of humor. And you really look like him

Andy and I looked at each other. I hope it's not what I'm thinking

Anibe : wow. I never knew I had a look alike

Andy's mom : though it was a long time ago. About 25 years ago

Loretta: guys do you know we saw weird men here today?

Me: weird men?

Claire: yeah. They were all wearing black and they had guns

Andy's mom : guns? Why didn't you tell me they had guns?

Claire: I was the only one that saw them with it though. They said they were from Andy's dad

Andy: and were they from him?

Andy's mom : no. He said he didn't order anyone to guard you

Anibe : did you say they were wearing black and they had guns?

Loretta: yes

Anibe looked at me

Me: Andy, you told me my dad secured a partnership with your dad's company right?

Andy: yes he did

Me: hmm

Could it be Daniel's dad again? If he is angry for being kicked out, he'll hate it most when his enemy is taken in his stead. Is he after Andy too or is this Daniel's handiwork again?

Me: I don't think that you're safe here Andy. Is there anyway you can go to a place that's not public?

Andy's mom : I thought about that too. I have a bad feeling about his staying here

Me: we actually got attacked yesterday

Andy : attacked?

Me: yes. By gunmen. We narrowly escaped and that's why we couldn't leave the house without escorts. The gunmen were after our lives. They were hired to kill us

Anibe : and they were wearing black outfits

Claire: could it be the same people?

Loretta: but why would they be after Andy and Ugwa? Who hates you two that much?

Anibe : or who hates our family's that much because initially they were after me, after I lost the first people, they now attacked Unugwa's car and I was in it.

Andy's mom stood up

Andy's mom : I'm calling Lewis

She took her phone and began to call him.

Anibe

We heard some rumbling outside and I went to check. It was the guards trying to push away two men in black. Rogue and one of his boys were seated in the corner watching them. I looked at one of the men, it was the same guy that was shooting at us after I shot his friend. I saw him through the rearview mirror.

I looked at Rogue who looked calm but I could see he was gripping unto something. I immediately entered the room

Me: it's those men again

Everybody : what!

Me: calm down. Ugwa, one of them is that man that was shooting at us with a pistol, not the one with the riffle

Me: OH my God! They're the same people

I could see the tension among the ladies. I went back to check and the men were leaving but one of them was bringing out a gun.

He quickly turned back and shot at the three guards.

The sound of gunshots made the ladies scream.

Rogue and his boy stood up and shot at the two men, a bullet met the leg of the one who shot at us the other day and a bullet met the head of the other guy.

I breathed out and came out fully.

Rogue: this guy's really like you Anibe

Me: this time, they're not for me

The guy who's leg got shot pulled out his gun and shot Rogue

Me: OH my God

The guy with Rogue shot his hand and he dropped the gun and groaned.

The hospital's security rushed in and pointed their guns at us.

Unugwa came outside and gripped my hand

Me: Unugwa, go back inside

Unugwa: OH my God! Our guards!

I looked at them

Me: they're not dead. Don't worry

She was breathing heavily

The security rushed to the men on the floor and took their guns. Just then, someone who I guessed to be Andy's father came in with two police men

Andy's mom came outside and ran to him

Andy's mom : Lewis!

Mr Lewis : Lenita are you okay? Where's my son? Where's Andy?

Andy's mom: he's fine. He's inside. Lewis we have to get him out of here

I walked to Rogue

Me: are you okay?

Rogue : yeah. But you guys are not safe. I don't know what this Eden man is up to. You need to tackle him down. Don't let this other man go away, that's why we didn't kill him. He's your evidence

I nodded

Me: thank you.

The nurses and a doctor arrived to take the men for treatment

Me: you need to get treated

Rogue : no. I have my personal nurse. I'll call her. She's pretty

I chuckled and patted his shoulder. I walked to the doctor

Me: sir, please keep this man safe.

Lewis : don't worry, he's not staying here. He'll get treated at the police station

Me: that's better

Lewis : you must be Ugwa's brother

Me: yes

Lewis : nice to meet you

Me: same here sir

I looked back and saw that Loretta and Claire were outside holding each other but Unugwa had gone back inside to meet her boyfriend

The other men were taken away on stretchers and the police were handcuffing the man who was still alive

My phone beeped. A message from mom

your dad is already at the airport coming home, you and Ugwa should come back now

I heaved a sigh. I have a lot of explaining to do as to why I didn't come back with the guards
