Chapter 280: Chapter 280 - 276: The Truth Behind the Stand-In Dance (Part 2)
After speaking, she turned her eyes to Shi Su, seemingly waiting for her to continue speaking, clearly not planning to call it off because of Shi Yunyin’s departure.
After all, her words carried multiple layers of meaning, the dance she performed earlier was indeed exactly the same, and if she dared to say such things in front of Shi Yunyin, in front of so many people, could there really be something fishy going on?
At this moment, Shi Su also withdrew the microphone and turned around to ask with concern, "What’s wrong with the movie queen? Feeling unwell? I’ll go check on her."
After saying that, she left behind countless puzzled faces both at the scene and in the livestream, and directly headed backstage.
The staff backstage were all looking at her as she came down, Jun hurriedly approached her, about to ask what she planned to do next, but Shi Su said nothing and went straight to Shi Yunyin’s dressing room.
In the dressing room, Shi Yunyin was surrounded by her manager and bodyguards, all concerned about how she was feeling and if she was really unwell somewhere.
Shi Su knocked and walked in, and when Shi Yunyin heard Shi Su’s voice, she suddenly looked up to see her.
Shi Yunyin’s bodyguard immediately wore a cold expression, about to drive Shi Su out: "There’s not just one dressing room here, there’s another one next door. Please leave."
Shi Su glanced at Shi Yunyin who was surrounded inside, chuckling lightly, "Don’t worry, I have no intention of taking over your dressing room. I heard the movie queen is not feeling well, so I hurried over to check on you. Are you alright?"
Shi Yunyin stared in the direction of Shi Su, unable to comprehend what exactly Shi Su was betting on.
"I’m fine," Shi Yunyin replied calmly, her complexion returning to normal.
Did she really think just by standing there saying a few words with an empty mouth, everyone would believe her?
Yet Shi Su’s confident and determined eyes earlier still made Shi Yunyin unable to completely let down her guard.
After a moment of contemplation, Shi Yunyin suddenly said, "You guys go out first, I want to talk to Shi Su."
Her manager and assistant looked at her in astonishment, and the bodyguard looked at her in confusion.
Shi Yunyin averted her gaze and said, "I’m fine, I just want to have a few words with her. With so many people here, it’s hard to speak properly."
After a moment of silence in the air, they finally left. Before closing the door, the manager gave Shi Yunyin a worried look, seeing she didn’t seem truly unwell, she then closed the door.
The dressing room became quiet again.
Shi Yunyin was just sitting on the sofa, the delicate and weak demeanor gone, as she coldly looked at Shi Su.
Shi Su merely stood by the door, glanced lightly around the dressing room. There were only two sofas, a coffee table, and some spare blankets nearby. It was, after all, a temporary dressing room in a mall, so there wasn’t much, but it was indeed very quiet, with no one else able to enter.
"Shi Su, what do you mean?" Shi Yunyin struggled to restrain her emotions.
Shi Su didn’t speak, just smiled at her, gesturing with her eyes towards the sofa opposite, as if asking if she could sit there?
She was just being polite, not really waiting for Shi Yunyin to nod, she went ahead and sat down effortlessly.
Seeing Shi Su’s rather arrogant attitude, Shi Yunyin became even more infuriated, lowering her voice to say, "Do you think even if you really revealed the truth just now, how many people would believe you? It’s already a matter from five years ago, instead of speaking those unsubstantiated words, why don’t you consider how to explain the copying of the dance?"
"Did I plagiarize?" Shi Su showed no indication of being provoked, softly laughing as she replied, "The entire routine back then was my hard work, my original choreography, every highlight arranged by me. Even though five years have passed, if I stand on stage later and let the host ask you which type of dance the movement at the fifth point of this song belongs to, you wouldn’t need to dance, just talk, can you say it?"
Shi Su kept a faint smile, "But you’re right, no matter how I insinuate on stage, I have no evidence to prove it was me who danced for you five years ago. But what can I do? I have to find a way to prove my innocence, or else am I supposed to let you ruin me for another five years?"
"No one will believe you—" Shi Yunyin suddenly stood up with an irritable and angry expression.
She was sure there was no one else in the dressing room right now, confident Shi Su was searched before entering the mall and even before going on stage.
Neither of them had phones nor recording pens or anything alike, and Shi Su couldn’t possibly record anything.
Shi Yunyin sneered, "Don’t think you can threaten me with the substitute dancer, do you know how many investors in the industry have collaborated with me? Do you know today’s sponsors also have deep cooperation with me? Regardless of what the truth is, as long as they know there’s anything detrimental to their interests with me, they’ll find a way to suppress it! Don’t be naive! Even if you swear in front of the camera, no one will believe you, no one will be willing to believe you!"
"Oh..." Shi Su softly questioned, "Do you believe that as long as you’re protected layer by layer by benefit parties, you can do whatever you want? Actually, I also thought about it, you called me sister for so many years, and now I’m revealing the truth about being a substitute dancer and winning the award for you. It is indeed disregarding our sisterly bond. But seeing you feel so justified in being a movie queen, why do you want me to disappear so much? The accident on the cross-river bridge was planned by you, those two people with sulfuric acid were also ordered by you, every single event, whether you admit it or not, you never truly had peace of mind, you were terribly afraid that one day I’d tear off your mask."
Shi Yunyin sneered, too lazy to deny, "You have no evidence, say what you will. But you do have a tough life, surviving even after falling into the river with your car..."
Before she could finish speaking, the door to the dressing room was suddenly flung open.
Both looked back to see Shi Yunyin’s assistant and bodyguard with unusual expressions, and Shi Yunyin’s manager standing at the door with a face like ashes.
Shi Yunyin’s expression froze, and she looked at them, "What’s going on?"
Seeing the backstage staff gathering at the door with strange looks towards her, her spine stiffened, and she quickly turned her gaze to Shi Su.
Shi Su pulled out the microphone she had conveniently taken down from the stage from her sleeve, not lifting her eyes. Her tone, seemingly indifferent and innocent, bore a faint hint of a smile, "Oops, I seem to have forgotten to turn off the mic."
