Chapter 128: Chapter 128

The employees gasped at once. The once beautiful dress now looked nothing less than a rag.

Annie’s dress was soaked from the top to the bottom, the red wine, a stark contrast to the peach-colored fabric.

“Priscilla, are you crazy!” Layla’s eyes widened. Even Jason looked shocked as he stared at Annie.

“Oops! My Bad.” Priscilla placed a palm on her lips, faking a shocked look. Then she laughed and folded her hands, retaining her haughty look. “If Ms. Lin hadn’t gotten in the way, this wouldn’t have happened.”

Everyone could tell that Priscilla did it intentionally. Annie didn’t even pay her attention, yet the girl was keen on causing trouble.

“Argh! Priscilla!” Layla wanted to pull the girl’s hair out. Then she quickly grabbed a tissue and tried to wipe the stain off Annie’s dress. None of it came out, though.

“Forget it.” Annie pushed Layla’s hand away gently. Her lips curled up and she slowly stood up.

It had been long since the employees saw this cold smile on the girl’s face. Most of them couldn’t deny that they were intimidated.

They all watched with bated breaths as Annie poured a red wine into a glass. She walked to the other side and looked down at Priscilla.

What she did next took all of them aback.

In a few seconds, Annie emptied the wine on the girl’s hair, making it trickle down her white shirt.

“Annie! You-“ Priscilla was too shocked to react in time.

Annie dropped the wine glass and folded her hands. “Mrs. Ju’an… An eye for an eye.”

“Argh!” Priscilla screamed as Jason drove her out of the restaurant. She hadn’t been this humiliated her whole life. How dare that girl.

And to think that the employees didn’t even hide it this time. They openly laughed at her and gave her condescending looks.

“Honey!” Her tears were flowing freely. What irritated her the most was Jason not getting back at that girl for her.

“Calm down, Priscilla. Don’t make a big deal out of it.”

“But you know I didn’t pour the wine on her on purpose. Why didn’t you do anything? You even allowed Layla to humiliate me!”

“Priscilla-“ Jason sighed.

“I was so wronged, Honey. Everyone looks down on me. I thought you promised to protect me. Why are people treating me like that in your presence?”

Actually, Jason was more ashamed to face the employees than to be mad at them. However, he couldn’t let Priscilla know that.

“They don’t mean it, Priscilla. I don’t think they were laughing at you.”

“Stop backing them up!” Priscilla wailed louder. “Those people are hypocrites. They didn’t like our marriage. Can’t you see that they are only pretending to like me?”

“I told you to treat them nicely, Priscilla.”

“Are you scolding me, Honey?” She gave him an offended look. “I thought you care about me. Don’t you love me!?”

“I’m not scolding you-“

“Just drop me at Dad’s place.” Priscilla wiped her tears and sniffed. “It seems the whole world is against me. I might as well spend the night there.”

She expected Jason to try to coax her, but the guy readily agreed. He didn’t even say anything and he reversed the car then turned a corner, taking another route.

Priscilla covered her face and sobbed hard. She could feel that he was mad at her. Was it because of Annie?

Annie was so calm. That girl didn’t even show any care that her dress was stained. Priscilla’s hair was dripping wet. Her mascara was ruined and her face looked like a clown’s.

To Jason, if she hadn’t started it first, Annie would never have thought about doing anything like that.

Priscilla cried bitterly and when the car arrived at Mr. Wang’s home, she walked out and closed the door with a bang.

Expecting Jason to follow her inside, her hope shattered, because he didn’t waste a second before driving away.

“Young Miss-“

“Go away!” A maid hurried to her and Priscilla pushed her out of her way. She removed her heels and stormed into the living room.

“Mum! Dad!” She yelled on top of her lungs, calling out to her parents.

After calling again and hearing no response from them, Priscilla threw her shoes at the TV screen, shattering the glass.

Immediately, the couple came rushing down. Mr. Wang returned from work not long ago, so he hadn’t changed out of his suit yet.

“Princess, what happened? Why are you here?”

“Baby girl, are you alright? Why are you crying so much?”

Mr. Wang and Mrs. Wang didn’t care about the broken TV. They were more concerned about their daughter’s miserable state.

“Mum! Dad!” Priscilla dropped on the floor, her shoulders shaking. “I swear I’m going to jump down the rooftop. No one likes me! Jason is hurting me! And Dad!” She glared at her father.

“You are the biggest liar I’ve ever known!”

“Ah, Dear, Please don’t say that.” Her mother knelt beside her. “Tell Mum what happened. Who else got on your bad side?”

“Even if I tell you, will you guys do anything about it!” Priscilla screamed. “I’ve told Dad countless times to chase that girl out of the company. Things are getting out of hand because she’s about to snatch Jason from me. Can you believe that she humiliated me in public and Jason didn’t say anything?”

It was then that Mr. Wang and Mrs. Wang noticed the wine stains on their daughter’s hair and dress.

“She dared do this to you?” Mrs. Wang seethed.

“This is despicable!” Mr. Wang grumbled.

He started pacing back and forth immediately. It appeared his son-in-law was as stubborn as ever. However, Mr. Wang had confirmed for himself again that that girl wasn’t ordinary.

At the emergency meeting yesterday, he could sense the CEO knew everything. Wasn’t that the reason why he had almost coerced the truth out of Mr. Yang?

Right now, Mr. Wang had more important things to deal with. He hadn’t thought the IT Department’s Manager a lesson yet.

So he knelt beside his wife and did all he could to coax his daughter. As for his son-in-law, it seemed he had to teach that boy a lesson.
