Chapter 52: Chapter 52

Ace POV.

My phone started ringing and I picked it up.

"Hello, who am I talking to?" I asked

"You don't have to know my name. I am just calling you to tell you about Adrianna's whereabouts," the other person said.

"Fine, tell me, where is she?" I asked " Wait, what do you want in return after telling me that?"

He laughed but didn't answer my question. After getting the information about where they were, even if I didn't know whether it was the truth, I opted to go and try my luck. I called my best team and family so that I can inform them since I knew that they also wanted you to find her as soon as possible. Even for my men, most love her since she saved Ivan. They claim that if they got such a donna, they won't have to worry about their families. I really don't know the meaning of that but I am just happy and proud that she's loved by everyone and they are welcoming towards her.

"Ace, why did you call us all here?" Dad asked.

"Dad, I received a call from someone who claims to know about Adrianna's whereabouts," I said.

"Do you know the person?" My brother asked, making me shake my head.

"No, I don't. He didn't even want anything in return, which is strange. I think he's part of Adrianna's organisation but I can't figure out where he is betraying his own boss."

"Maybe he can see that Adrianna is suffering without you just like you here and felt some sympathy for her that he let you know," Paul said.

"Maybe you are right. We should start going. It is a two hour drive and I just hope that we will find her," I said.

"Don't worry son, you will. Just bring her home. I already miss her," mom said.

"I will mom but for now we don't know whether the itel is true or not. What we need to do is hope that he has given us the right information," I explained.

"Ooh no brother. Don't make the same mistake you did last time. If you kidnap her once more then know she will never forgive you," Abigail reminded me and was supported by everyone across the room.

Actually, I was planning on doing that if she refused to come but since I have been warned, I won't try doing that since it will not only cause problems for me but also make her hate me more instead of her loving me.

"Okay, I won't do anything stupid," I reassured her.

"Then we should start going now. I miss seeing Ivan smiling and laughing and I can't wait to see him doing that.

After arranging ourselves and making a plan, we got in the cars and drove off.

Millions of emotions were running through my mind and I didn't know what to explain or do. All I want is to embrace her and tell her how much I love her. Even though speeding is illegal, right now I don't care about them. I will later pay them off.

"At least, I didn't let you drive cause I am sure that we could have already gotten in an accident or better being stopped by the police," my brother said, making me roll my eyes.

"We would have thought that she had not yet left this country? Yet we couldn't find her," Paul said.

"She is really good at hiding but there is something fishy with the one who betrayed her. I don't know why but I feel that he has a hidden motive from him calling and informing you about her whereabouts," Bob said.

"Let him be. The day which Adrianna will find out, his life will be doomed. I have missed her killing attactic," Mark said.

"Can't all of you shut up?" I asked.

"How the hell do you expect me to shut up when we are on our way to find my sister-in-law?" Mark asked.

"Sometimes you make me have a headache. Dad, why don't you tell your son to keep quiet?" I complained.

"Ace, let him be. We all know that he hasn't been talking much since she went. She affected everyone's life with her leaving despite the fact we weren't even close to her," dad said.

"I think that that's her nature. To be loved by anyone she comes across,"I said.

The car was filled with total silence after her since they were all thinking about her.

"Don, there is an accident which happened a while ago and it leads to blockage of the road," someone said through the itel which we used for communication.

"What's the current situation?" I asked.

"Don, I don't think we would be able to pass through there. It is filled with cars, police and even pedestrians," he said.

"Don't any of you know about another route which we would take?" I asked.

"No, we don't know, don," he said and I looked at everyone around me.

"Let me confirm," Paul said, making me nod my head.

The convoy of cars had half as we searched for another route. Luck wasn't on our side and that was clear. If only I had searched well for her then we wouldn't have been here now hoping and praying for a miracle to happen.

"Have you found something?" I asked impatiently.

"Son, you don't need to worry about anything. In case he doesn't find it then we will just go and talk to the police over there so that they can give us a pass," dad said, making me appreciate it.

He has been the mafia don for more than twenty years therefore, he has connections with even people from the government and so on.

"Thank you dad," I said gratefully.

I was so impatient that I felt as if I shouldn't punch him in the face but I couldn't since it would compromise my mission and let it delay my time on finding her.

"Sir, I just found a route. Let me send the route directions to the cars so that we can start the journey," Paul said.

After making sure that all the vans had the direction of which we were going to use, we set off. I hope that she didn't get the info that we had discovered where she is because if she still didn't want to see me then I am afraid that she might escape once more.

"Why are you driving so slow?" I asked irritatingly.

"Who said that I am driving slow? I am driving at the right speed. Why should I break the law for you?" Mark said, making me more furious.

"Mark, can you stop angering your brother? I ain't be able to protect you when he has heard enough of your words and decides to beat the shit out of you," dad said.

"Don't tell me that you are supporting him, that I should drive the car faster than I am," he complained.

"Just do what you are told or I beat Tu ou instead of him," he said, making Mark roll his eyes.

"Okay. It seems that I am not your son and you have only one son," he complained, making dad slap him.

"Can you stop being a drama queen and drive," I yelled at him.

After that, he increased the speed and in no time we were in her neighbourhood.

"Is that a chopper?" Paul asked while looking outside the window, making us all look at the direction he was looking.

"Do you think…..that she found out?" Bob asked fearfully.

"Stop saying that, we even don't know whether the chopper is landing in her compound or not," dad said

"Drive faster," I shouted since I had a feeling that it was not a coincidence or another person. Myguts was telling me that Adrianna was the one who called out for it but I didn't know why.

Increasing the car speed, we reached her gate and I got out as soon as it came to halt.

"Ace, are you crazy?" Dad shouted as he saw what I had done.

"Let me be dad, for now at least," I said.

The voice of the chopped interrupted us and I looked at the direction which it was coming from.

"Shit, you gotta be kidding me!" Mark cursed.

The chopper was in Adrianna's compound and we could see some figures going to the chopper with luggages.

"Adrianna," I called out hoping that if she hears me, she would stop but I was just delusional.

They all climbed the chopper and it flew away as I struggled opening the gate.

"There is no use in opening it since she is already gone," dad said as he tried to drag me away from the place.

"I don't understand dad. I really don't. Doesn't she love me as I love as I love her?" I asked as tears came out.

"Don't cry," he said.

"So the intel was correct but it seems that Adrianna found out about it," Mark said and I looked at him.

"If only you drove faster when I told you to, then she wouldn't have left me once more," I said.

"There is no need to blame each other. You get to open the gate even if we get here earlier then we won't have gotten a way in" bob said, making me glare at him.

"Let us just hope that she is still in the country," dad said as he pulled me into the car.

I can't believe that she was just a couple of miles away from me yet I couldn't convince her to stay.
