Chapter 15: Chapter 15

CHAPTER 15

He had gotten her flowers.

Sara stared at the large beautiful bouquet of flowers Ariel had given her, she had brought it with her from work.

Along with a carefully hand written note on a pink slip, her friend had said, "Christian said I should give you this, he is so anticipating you guys date, like seriously that was all he could talk about, he revealed some details which he said I should keep a secret from you, and all those stuffs, mehn babe you so lucky."

"I'm lucky? In what way." She'd asked looking at the bouquet of red roses adorably, smiling and swooning profusely.

"Girl, you just walked down the streets one day, meet an handsome guy who now loves you like no man's business, and you're asking me why I say you are lucky, oh God when?" Ariel had answered looking up and raising her hands mockingly in an apologetic gesture.

Sara laughed while recalling the moment, now sitting by the garden and waiting for Ariel to meet her, she held the flower bouquet and started thinking of the outfit she was going to wear tommorow, she was happy that she could go out despite her house arrest, Mrs Patrick had called her earlier this afternoon to tell her that she could go out and she was so excited, she didn't even know when she started laughing loudly.

"Hehehehe, and what is she smiling about?" Sara looked up to see Ariel laughing at her, embarrassed at being caught doing something silly, She straightened and faced her friend defiantly.

"It's none of your concern Madame, just sit down and let's talk about our exams on Monday, you know I'm resuming, my house arrest punishment has been lifted." she said and started biting her fingernails.

"And she's chewing her nails, now what am i to believe in all you just said, huh?" her friend asked her jokingly.

"Ariel sit down, and let's talk of something else, all this your silly chit-chats is not going to do us any good in the exam hall on monday." Sara said ignoring the question she was being asked.

"Come to think of it, you have a date and you are hear with your bags reading, telling me that we should study for exams, like are you serious." Ariel stared at her friend in awe.

"And what do you want me to do, ehh?" She asked.

"You have a date, a surprising romantic one and instead of you to prepare for it, select an outfit you are going to wear, you are busy reading, I don't blame you, you know." Ariel said raising her eyebrows.

"Look, just leave me alone, okay." Sara said already getting tired of her friend's tantrums.

"You are not serious, this instant you are getting up, you see the way you looked for money to get your work outfits, that zeal and excitement you had when purchasing them, well I want you to put in the energy right now, because I am dragging inside, down the hallway and straight to your room, to get you a stunning dress for tommorow, and i don't want to hear any excuses."

Sara couldn't even interrupt or say anything again, because she was suddenly dragged up, and like her friend had said, she was being pushed albeit seriously.

"Oh God, Ariel stop, you are embarrassing me, look at the faces of everyone pfffffffft you have to stop this instant, I'll walk." Sara pleaded.

"No I won't, let them look, it's none of our business, and I don't even trust you in this aspect, I might let go of your hand, and the next thing you'll do is to just get on your two long feets, and run leaving me stranded here like a fool. So no, I am not letting you go till we get to your room and choose a nice dress for you to wear tommorow, case closed."

Anytime Ariel was serious with or about something, she always made sure to achieve her goal, so she just patiently had to do as she had said.

Sara sighed and lept along.

Christian was going to the auto repair shop to pick up his bike, owned by his late father, he wanted it serviced as that was what he wanted to use to take Sara on their date tommorow.

"Hello Martinez, how you doing bro?" Christian greeted his friend the mechanic, and owner of the shop.

"Hello Christian, my guy, I am fine and you?"

"Same here, how far are you with my bike bruh, are you done." he asked.

"Yes I am, you know I can never disappoint you, and you are using it tommorow to take our wife out, so i added a little shine for you by cleaning, dusting and painting it with a new shimmering color." Martinez replied smiling from ear to ear.

"Really, can I see it." Christian said and Martinez nodded in the affirmative and went inside his shop to get it.

Christian couldn't believe his eyes, his bike was as good as new, coated with glossy black, and sparkling under the reflective sunshine outside, Christian was excited.

He never expected this from his friend, he had only asked him to repair the brakes, service the machine and make sure it was in good shape. Bit it seems his friend had gone overboard with the clean up.

"Oh Martinez, you are really god-sent, you have just made my day, now I am going to take my girl out with so much drip, how much for all this infact I am dropping everything in my wallet now." Christian said.

He was willing to pay any price, the bike looked new, shiny as if it had just been bought, if not for one peculiar scratch by the side of the machine which was still a little noticeable, Christian would not have believed that the bike belonged to him.

"Don't worry, it's free if charge, I did it because of the girl that has finally succeeded in capturing my friend's heart."

Christian chuckled as he said, "You're right, she dropped a spell and i got enchanted, bewitched, God I am so in love."
