Chapter 97: Chapter 97

She looked at her coursemates and saw them looking at her with a disdainful gaze. Flow clenched her fist and looked at Sherry with resentment in her eyes.

"I really can't tell that Vera is like this"

"Tsk tsk, a white lotus will always act gentle and caring"

"You knew it before, I thought Sherry is a proud person because she doesn't interact with people normally. I really thought she looked down on people"

"That is where you are wrong, Sherry is actually very nice and caring. She helped me to pay money for my taxi the day I was coming to school, my wallet was stolen fortunately, we took the same taxi so she helped me even when I was helpless. I also thought she was arrogant and looked down on people too. I think she is an introvert, we all misunderstood her" The girl narrated.

Sherry was stunned, she didn't even remember this. She just did it casually and didn't think much about it, she didn't even remember the person's face nor did she recall the incident if not the girl saying it now making her recall.

"Oh you didn't tell us that"

Her coursemates looked at the girl with a blame look.

The girl flushed in embarrassment, and retorted, "I have been looking for her to thank her personally but that was when she took a leave in school, I have already forgotten about it and just remembered now" The girl explained.

"Oh fine, I don't know what you are thinking, have you gotten married and given birth to three children and want to pay their school fees?" Her friend mocked with a smile.

The girl glanced at Sherry, "Thank you for the other day" She said sincerely.

Sherry nodded with a smile.

The girl turned back to her friend, "I have your time now" She said and looked at her pretending like she wanted to fight with her.

"I said, have you given birth to children, do you want to pay their school fees? Or what are you thinking that made you forgot" her friend said and ran out of the class laughing.

The girl chased after her friend, yelling "don't let me get hold of you, or else I'll beat your ass"

Everyone ignored Vera and said hi to Sherry before leaving the class.

They treated Vera like she was invisible, Vera bit her lower lips till she tasted blood before she ran out of the class with her bag in a hurried step but it feels like she still could hear her coursemates mocking her.

She would let Sherry enjoy her moments for now, but she would come back stronger and make sure she paid back.

Tara snickered when she saw Vera's bloodshot eyes.

"You made her cry" Tara said mockingly and added, "Good job!"

Sherry smiled, "I didn't make her cry, she just treats me like her enemy when I'm not. There are a lot more capable people than me, even her so she shouldn't be acting like her father owned the school or something" Sherry replied with disdain that was obviously for Vera.

She doesn't understand why she would take her like her enemy when she didn't take any of her things, the school Belle and the top student is not for her; anyone can take it as far as they are capable to do so.

"Can you drop me off so I'll take a taxi, or will you drop me off at my house?" Tara asked.

"Why? Where is your car?" Sherry asked casually as they walked out of the class.

"Damn! I told you I met a jerk this morning, Dammit I don't want to remember it" Tara said as she gritted her teeth in anger.

She was fuming in anger when she left the hotel this morning and forgot her car at the hotel parking lot. It was after taking a taxi and she was almost at school that she remembered but if she decided to turn back so she could carry her car, it would be very late by then and she would miss the first class. Fortunately, she arrived a few minutes late so she didn't miss the morning class.

"Oh" Sherry shrugged and didn't ask for the details even though she was slightly curious.

They got into the car, and Sherry drove out of the school.

"Don't worry, I'll drop you home," Sherry said generously.

Tara was happy and felt delighted, "I know you love me the most, Muacks" She said and blew her a kiss, she also leaned and kissed chin.

Sherry wiped off where she kissed in disgust, "So dirty, I'll feel bored once I get home that is why I decided to send you home " Sherry clarified.

Tara held her heart in a pretense, "You broke my heart" She said.

"Good" Sherry said and the car stopped moving.

She took out her phone and logged in to her social media.

Most of the articles had already disappeared.

Articles like.

"A certain woman fortunately got married rich and refused to acknowledge her poor father "

"She forgot her roots and ignored her poor father"

Articles of malicious attacks had already disappeared without traces.

And all the criticism that was calling her cold blooded, unfilial daughter, heartless had also disappeared.

The articles now were different.

It was all about evidence of her father abandoning her when she was young and also when she sang.

Many praise her and call her talent.

She sighed and dropped her phone beside her.

The traffic light turned green and cars started moving back.

She also started the car and drove away.

She was deep in thought.

She was not sure if her mom saw the news and it was so loud that she doubts that her mom didn't see all these so she decided to call her later when she got home.

Ring! Ring!

Sherry glanced at her phone screen and saw that it was her mom.

Speak of the devil.

She picked it up and connected it to her earphone.

"Hello mom," Sherry said .

"I saw the news," Her mom said.
