Chapter 91: Chapter 91

"Oh right, you guys already met outside" Grandma nodded.

Charlotte gave her a gentle smile, "Oh, so you are Bryan's wife, nice to meet you, It seems we have some misunderstanding outside " Charlotte said, her expression was soft and looked gentle, it was supposed to make Sherry comfortable but it gave Sherry goosebumps instead.

Sherry nodded, "It is fine, no issue" Sherry said.

The door of the private room opened, the middle aged man who drove Sherry here walked into the room.

Charlotte's expression changed.

"How dare you barge into the room? Didn't you know that we are having an important talk here?" She asked and scolded the man like she was the one paying the man.

The man ignored her and walked towards Mrs Adamson, Charlotte's face turned pale when she saw this 'wretched man ignore her.

What right does he have to ignore her?

He was just a slave that is getting paid for driving and nothing else.

She was feeling embarrassed because Grandma actually asked her to leave in front of her friends, she was not giving her face at all even though an outsider was there. The outsider was Sherry. She saw the way Grandma treated Sherry like a princess, she even treated her much better than her so she couldn't vent her anger and frustration on Sherry, coincidentally, the man walked into the room so she vented her anger at him.

It is because she thought he was just a driver and no one would scold her for talking to the man anyhow because she was right but the man actually dared to ignore her, he would get fired today.

Between a driver and her, who would Grandma 's friends choose?

Definitely it is her!

She watched the man movement with a sinister look as she approached Grandma Adamson.

"Time to go home, Honey," The man said.

Charlotte felt her brain turn blank, even Sherry was stunned.

She couldn't believe that the man who actually drove her here was Grandpa Adamson.

Charlotte turned pale and pointed at them shocked, "You…. You are Grandpa Adamson?" She asked.

She couldn't believe that the 'wretched' man was actually a powerful person in disguise.

"That is right, Shocked?" The man asked with a hint of mockery and indifference.

Charlotte bit her lower lips mad at herself for doing something stupid, She forced out a smile, "I didn't know that you are Grandpa Adamson, I'm sorry I was feeling frustrated before and said something bad to you"

Grandpa Adamson nodded, not interested in her fake apology.

Charlotte smiled, "You are really a low-key person. People would often misunderstood you"

Grandpa Adamson looked at her with a smile full of disdain, "Does that mean, you can judge people by the way they dress? You are such a coward who bullies the poor and the weak but feared and respected the rich and powerful people"

Charlotte's expression changed.

What he said was like a face slap on her face.

She looked at Sherry blaming her with her look.

It was her fault.

It was because of the way Grandma treated her outside that made her angry and scolded Grandpa Adamson, now she had offended someone powerful.

She has been trying to curry favor from the Adamson so they could help her father's company, the people she has been looking for were actually in front of her but she already offended them before she could let them have a good impression of her.

Sherry was dumbstruck when she saw the blame look that Charlotte was giving her.

She doesn't even know who this woman was, she was also as shocked as her when she realized that the person who drove her here was not a driver but a powerful person instead.

Grandma Adamson didn't say anything but the expression on her face when she looked at Charlotte says it all, it was filled with displeasure.

She stood up and smiled at Sherry warmly. She gave her a piece of paper with a smile on her face, "You can call me anytime" She said.

Grandpa Adamson didn't say anything but his expression was filled with approval.

Charlotte clenched her fist tightly when she saw this.

What charm did she use exactly to win over Adamson.

The Adamson was actually the richest tycoon in California, before they retired and returned to America. They also moved their businesses to America, they are childless and they don't have anyone to inherit their businesses and powers. Charlotte has been looking for ways to flatter them, if she couldn't be their goddaughter, she must at least make them support her father's business.

Who knows that the Adamson are low-key people that she already offended them and they now detest her but favored that seductive bitch.

She couldn't take it lying down.

She was the one who they should be treating well, not that bitch.

Sherry quickly tried to reject it, "No Grandma Adamson, I don't need it" She said and tried to take her hands away from hers.

"Why not?" Grandma Adamson looked at it with an aggrieved look.

Sherry's heart softened but she didn't want to take the number. She could guess that they were very powerful judging by the way Charlotte was trying to flatter them.

She could only look at Grandma with a helpless look, so she could help her, but Grandma acted like she didn't see her gaze.

Sherry: ".."

She was speechless.

In the end, Grandma Adamson forced the paper into her hand and left after saying goodbye to her friends. Sherry pursed her lips and put the paper into her bag.

She was just keeping it there, for keepsake.

She never would not be able to make herself call her for anything, she was never told to depend on someone. She knew she had to depend on herself because she came to this world alone without anyone, she has always been depending on herself so she was already used to it.

She would also never depend on a man called husband, because if one depends on someone too much. There will be a day when the person will stop helping.

The same way she didn't want to fall in love is the same she hated depending on someone.

She hates getting emotionally attached

Charlotte thought Sherry was a fool before when she saw Sherry was rejecting Grandma Adamson's contact number. She didn't know that she was a scheming vixen, she said something but was doing the opposite.
