Chapter 104: Chapter 104
She felt her heart ache at the thought of this.
She took a deep breath and l
Bryan didn't know what was going on Sherry 's mind, if he knew he would have smacked her butt badly.
Why would he cheat on her?
He asked like he was asking a casual question, "Do you know who Nancy is?"
Sherry was stunned for a few seconds when she heard his question. She was expecting him to tell her about him cheating on her by not asking about her sister but she still nodded and replied, "Yes she is my elder sister, why are you asking about her? Did she come and meet you and ask you for money?" She asked immediately because she doesn't trust Nancy, she might actually do that.
Bryan shook his head, "No I have never seen her before"
Sherry heaved a sigh of relief when she heard this, she glanced at him, '"How did you know her name and why are you asking about her?" She asked.
"You have to be prepared for what I want to say now" Bryan said, as he pursed his lips.
The bad feeling Sherry felt came again.
"Did something happen to her?"
No it must not be.
She just finished chatting with her just now.
Or is it her mom?
Sherry clenched her fist to calm her agitated body.
"Tell me," She said solemnly.
Bryan sighed, he closed his eyes and opened it, he held her hand tightly in case she hurt herself, "She is the mastermind" He said after some minutes of silence.
"Huh?" Sherry was confused and looked at him with a dumbstruck look.
"Behind the accident" Bryan said when he saw how confused she looked
Sherry's face turned pale, she shook her head, "No it is a lie" She said firmly and added, "My sis will never do that, are you playing a prank on me? "She asked.
She trusted Nancy.
She can never do it.
Bryan didn't say anything and just looked at her.
Sherry saw his serious expression and knew it was not a joke, her face turned white.
She tried to calm down and looked at him, "Are you sure she was not framed?" She asked with a trembling voice.
Bryan didn't say anything but his expression said it all.
She was not framed.
"There is evidence of her calling the driver on the phone and it was an account that was used to pay the driver also" Bryan said solemnly.
Sherry's shoulder trembled.
"Can I see it?" She asked, her voice was hoarse.
Bryan let go of one of her hands and dip his hand into his pocket, he brought out a tape.
He handed it to Sherry.
"Who else knows this?" She asked.
"Your friend, Tara. She was the one who sent it to me " Bryan replied.
Sherry now understood why Tara asked her those weird questions, it turned out that she was also investigating the accident. So she found out about it and sent it to Bryan.
"Oh" Sherry nodded.
She stood up from the couch, "I want to be alone for awhile" she said.
Bryan instantly stood up, "I'll stay with you" He said immediately.
He doesn't want her to hurt herself when she is alone.
Sherry shook her head at him, "No" She looked into his eyes and had no choice but to plead, "Please" She said.
Bryan pursed his lips and nodded, "I'll come to check you in an hour, okay?" He asked.
Sherry nodded "Okay"
Bryan pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly, "Don't hurt yourself, you know you are the only one for me, why can't you just cry and let me console you?" He asked in a low tone.
Sherry let out a dull chuckle, "I'll be fine, I won't hurt myself, I promise " She said.
Bryan reluctantly released her.
Sherry forced out a smile and walked towards the elevator, she entered the elevator and they looked at each other intently before the elevator door finally closed.
Sherry walked out of the elevator and walked into their room, her legs were unconsciously weak and gave way and she collapsed on the floor.
She stood up and sat down on the bed.
Her heart started racing fast as she looked at the tape in her hand.
She didn't want to listen to it but she knew she had to.
She pursed her lower lip before she pressed the 'play' button on the tape.
She heard Nancy's voice on the tape first before she heard a stranger male voice, it sounded like a middle aged man fitting that driver profile.
Her face was pale and her eyes were bloodshot by the time she finished listening to the tape.
She really did it!
Why would she do that?
She is her sister!
Her blood sister for crying out loud.
Sherry burst into tears.
Her heart was aching and she felt disappointed.
She couldn't believe that she would really do something like this to her.
She almost killed her, fortunately She was safe, she would have been buried by now.
She just wanted to end three lives just like that?
How heartless.
She wiped her tears with her hand, but her tears fell harder unrestrained.
She understood why she texted her when she was in the living room now.
She was just indirectly asking if she was dead or not.
Even though she doesn't know why her sister doesn't like or interact with her like before, she has never had it in mind to hurt or something.
She loves her sister a lot because of what they have been through together, she knew what and appreciated what her sister did for her when they were young so she had never had it in mind to hurt her.
That was why she went out of the house despite the reporters that were hanging about at the estate gate, and she was beaten to pulp when she came out from the house so she could go to the police station to bail her out.
Her sister was precious to her even though she didn't treat her very well like before anymore, both her sister and her mom are the only love ones she had except Bryan.
She didn't know if her mom also knew about this or not.
The room door opened, Sherry didn't bother to look up because she knew that it was Bryan.
And it was indeed Bryan.
Bryan walked towards her in a hurried step when he saw her like this, he had never seen her like this. She was always trying to put up a strong woman front, outside but she also had time when she would be vulnerable.
He pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly while consoling her.
