Michael : hey, it's michael

My whole face lights up as i smile and texts him back.

Nia : hey

Michael : we're still on for later?

Nia : yeah

Michael : okay

I set my phone down when michael starts texting me again.

Michael : Send me a picture of you

Nia : i look a mess right now

Michael : i doubt it, please?

I take a quick pic of me sending it to him then sets my phone back down. I turn on the blow dryer and starts drying my hair. Michael texts me again and i unlock my phone to read it.

Michael : you look beautiful as always

Nia : thank you

Michael : anytime beautiful

I set my phone down and looks in the mirror and starts blushing.

Honestly what is wrong with me? I just got out a relationship and i'm thinking about kissing someone else, it's even worse because the someone else is my bestfriend cousin.

I try not to think about michael as i finish drying my hair then walks downstairs making me something to eat. The front door starts unlocking and in walks Jaden.

"What are you doing here?"

"You weren't replying to any of my texts or calls so i came to see you, let me explain about what you saw the other day"

"What i saw was you fucking someone else, there's nothing for you to explain, now give me my key" I walk to him snatching the key out of his hand.

"Nia please, i'm so sorry, i was so tired of waiting for you"

"I don't wanna hear your lame ass excuses, get out my house"

"Nia, just listen to me!" He grabs a glass vase throwing it "I'm trying to talk to you" He grabs me pushing me up against the wall.

"Get off me"

He grabs my phone throwing it across the room "I'm done with you" He storms off and leaves.

I walk over to my phone seeing that the screen is cracked and it won't turn on. Tears start rolling down my face as i sit down leaning against the cabinet. I sit there for a while when i hear someone at the front door. The door opens and in walks Sofia and Michael.

"Nia, are you okay?" Sofia rushes over to me followed by Michael.

"Yes i'm fine" I wipe away my tears as Sofia helps me up.

"What was going on here?" Michael asks.

"Ex boyfriend drama"

"Did he hurt you?"

"No i'm fine"

"Stop saying you're fine, how did he get in here anyways?" Sofia asks.

"I forgot to get my key from him, but all he did was break a vase"

"yeah, and your phone" Sofia says as she picks my phone up off the floor.

"Where does this boy live?" Michael asks.

"You can't be in any fights while you're here michael"

"I never said i was gonna fight him, I just wanna go talk"

"Michael just leave it alone" I say.

"Okay, i will"

"Let me get this" Sophia takes the key putting it in her bag "I can't believe he broke your phone"

"How much would it cost to get it fixed?" Michael asks.

"I don't know"

"I been telling you about Jaden, I never liked him"

"Enough about him" I grab my phone and walks over to the couch sitting down.

"Okay, i gotta pee real quick be right back" Sophia walks off upstairs.

"We don't have to go nowhere later if you don't wanna"

"I still wanna go, right now i just need a hug"

Michael grabs me pulling me into a hug as i wrap my arms around his neck breathing in the smell of his cologne.

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I'm fine, he didn't hurt me"

"good" he releases me from the hug then rests his hand on my thigh "if you ever need anything i'm here for you"

"okay thank you" i smile.

Sofia comes walking downstairs "I'm gonna stay here with you just incase he comes back" She walks over to me sitting down next to me and hugging me.

"you really don't have to do that, i can handle myself"

"i know you can but i got your back with anything"

"thank you, i love you" i hug her as she hugs me back tightly "i love you too"

My phone starts to ring and i look down at it to see a number that i don't recognize calling me.

I answer the phone "hello?"

"hey, it's the boy you met in the club the other day, i don't know if you remember my name but it's tony"

"oh hi tony" i stand walking upstairs to get some privacy.

"it's nice to finally talk to you again nia"

"it's nice to talk to you again too"

"so i was calling because i wanted to know if you'd like to go out sometime? you're just so beautiful and i like you"

"aw thank you" i blush "sure we can go out sometime, just let me know when"

"how about tonight? 9pm i'll come pick you up?"

"okay sure, i'll text you my address"

"okay, i'll see you later"

"bye" i hang up.

I walk back downstairs as michael and sofia stops talking.

"who was it?" sofia asks.

"some boy i met at the club, he asked me on a date"

"oh that's cute, when?"

"tonight"

"tonight? me and you had plans tonight" michael says.

"oh my god, i'm so sorry, I forgot!"

"it's fine, we can just reschedule"

"okay thank you" I walk over to michael hugging him then rushes off upstairs and gets changed.

Tony : I'm outside

Nia : okay i'm coming out

I grab my purse and keys then leaves my house to see tony parked outside. I walk over to his car getting inside.

"hey beautiful" tony kisses me on the cheek.

"hey"

Tony drives off "So how have you been?"

"i've been fine, just boyfriend drama"

"boyfriend drama? i thought you were single?"

"I am single, i mean ex drama"

"oh okay" he laughs "cause i want you all to myself"

Tony is a cool guy and all but i hope he doesn't think there's gonna be anything between us, i was just having fun the other day.

Tony drives for about 35 minutes when he finally pulls up to his house.

"i thought we were going to eat somewhere"

"i was just gonna order some food" he steps out the car.

"oh okay" i step out the car following him into his house as i close the door behind us "nice house"

"thanks, you can get comfortable, i'll call and order us some pizza and wings"

"Okay" I walk over to his couch sitting down as he walks into another room. I take my jacket off putting it on the seat next to me as i look around the room. He comes back into the room 5 minutes later and sits down next to me.

"okay so i ordered the food, do you wanna have some fun?"

"fun as in what?"

"fun as in touching" he puts his hand on my thigh.

"I don-" before i can finish tony smashes his lips into mine. I pull away from him "what are you doing?"

"let's finish what we started the other night" he leans in kissing me again and i pull away again.

"i didn't come over here for this, can't we talk and get to know each other better?"

"oh come on, you know you like this" he leans in again kissing me on my neck while trying to slide his other hand down my pants.

"no" i push him away again.

"you kissed me the other day, why don't you want to now?"

"because the other day was different"

"what's the point of you being here then?"

"it's obvious you only invited me over here to fuck or something which is not what i'm gonna do so i'm gonna go" I grab my jacket putting it back on and walks off towards the door.

"okay, bye" he slams the door after me.

I text sofia asking her can she come pick me up.

Nia : so the guy i met up with is trash so can you come pick me up? he drove me over here.

Sofia : i'm kinda busy right now with brad, i can ask michael to come pick you up.

Nia : okay thank you.

I patiently wait in front of tony's house for michael when he finally pulls up. I rush over to the car getting inside "thank you for picking me up"

"no problem" michael drives off "so what happened?"

"he just wanted sex and i wasn't doing that"

"damn, why do you keep running into some douchebags?"

"i really don't know, it's annoying now"

"i'm sorry you have really bad experiences with men" he laughs.

"no it's fine" i laugh.

We talk for the rest of the ride when he finally pulls up to my house.

"thank you so much for picking me up and dropping me off"

"no problem, i had fun talking to you"

I hug him then hops out of the car walking inside. I set my keys and purse down then goes to my room and changes clothes. I lay down turning the light off and falling asleep.
